At Mystic Moon Farm we raise modern style Haflinger Horses for pleasure and sport. Haflingers are all chestnut - ranging from pale to a darker chestnut - with flaxen to white manes and tails. The Haflinger is a compact horse with easygoing, gentle temperaments that make great additions to any family. An excellent way to describe the Haflinger horse is "A Prince in front, A Peasant behind". So a beautiful, well shaped head with expressive eyes, set on an elegant neck and a strong, well muscled, well developed hindquarters.

Haflinger Horses are easy to keep, generally healthy

 and live long lives sometimes living into their 40s! TheHaflinger Horse excels in a variety of disciplines from working the farm, trail riding, Western Pleasure, working cattle, running barrels and pulling carts to Dressage and Jumping. The Haflinger Horse will hold their own in the show ring and wherever you want to go the Haflinger Horse will take you there!

We focus on maintaining the Haflinger Horse’s super gentle temperaments. We breed modern style yet with good bone and sound minds. Mystic Moon Farm’s foals are imprinted at birth and handled daily using natural horsemanship techniques.

We believe in providing as natural environment as possible for our Haflinger horses. They have hillsides they can climb, valleys they can rest in and trees to protect them from the hot, Southern California sun. We socialize our Haflinger Horses early and they learn how to function in a herd environment making for an all around well-adjusted horse.

Most of Mystic Moon Farm mares are bred to silver and gold classified Haflinger stallions. The result are offspring that have a very balanced,  correct conformation, are athletic with superb movement and outstanding dispositions.

One of our goals is to match you to a Haflinger Horse that will be the perfect partner for you. We will gladly refer you to another Haflinger Horse breeder if we do not have what you are looking for. Upon purchasing a Haflinger Horse from us you will receive a binder that includes the history of your new Haflinger horse, our recommended feeding program, health history and all pertinent information.

Nutrition is a big deal here and we try to stay as natural as possible when it comes to nutrition and health. We are proud to feed and recommend Silver Lining Herbs.
